Locating Books in the Library: Search from the Homepage

Where to Find a Book

Once you find a book in our catalog, be sure to write down the entire call number. Look at the first letter of the call number, and determine what floor to which you need to go.

Ask at the Circulation desk for DVDs, CDs, Puzzles, and Bikes.

 A - E  1st Floor of the Library
 F - M  2nd Floor of the Library
 N - Z  2nd Floor of the Library


Reference Books are on the First Floor of the Library.

Using the Catalog from the Homepage

You can do a quick search of our Catalog from the Library Homepage. Search options include:

  • Keyword Anywhere
  • Title Keyword
  • Subject Keyword
  • Author Keyword
  • Title Find [omit leading articles]
  • Author Headings Browse [last name first]
  • Subject Headings Browse

About the Library Catalog

The online Library Catalog is where you can search for books, e-books, DVDs, and sound recordings. It tells you what our Library owns and where to locate it.

Use the Library Catalog. Here you can see what print and electronic books we have available for your topic.

If you have trouble finding books, Ask a Librarian. If none are available, we can Interlibrary Loan a book for you.

 

Use the Library Catalog. To search for just videos or sound recordings:

  • under Format, select Video or Music Recording 
  • This will eliminate books from the results list
