Music Research: Find Books

Searching Tips

To find books on music in the Philip Weltner Library online catalog, go to the library homepage and select online catalog.

Next use the basic search. After selecting basic search, enter a search term, for example music.

Qualify the term by selecting Subject Heading browse located in the drop down menu to the right of the search box.

A subject heading search will help you find the most number of terms under which you can access the topics pertaining to music.

Search the Catalog by Subject Heading

To conduct a Subject Headings Browse search, type in Music. Or, type in Music PLUS the name of a country (for example, Music England).
