German: Find Books

Our Library Online Catalog searches all of our books, e-books, CDs, and DVDs.

We have tens of thousands of books, more than 17,000 electronic books, more than 2,000 CDs, and over 4,000 DVDs. These are all available for you to check out as an Oglethorpe student.

Start by searching our Library Online Catalog by keyword.

Put one keyword in each search box. If you don't find much, try synonyms of the word(s) you are using, and try just one or two words in your searches.

When you find a book you like, be sure to write down the entire call number to find it on our shelves.

 

To conduct a Subject Headings Browse search, type in the name of the Country or name of the Person (Lastname, Firstname).

 
 

Subject Headings in the catalog are an easy way to drill down to the exact subject area you need for your book sources. Listed here are GENERAL subjects, but click on one, and a new page will open. If you then scroll down, you can see how the Subjects are broken down specifically.  

• Click on a Library of Congress Subject Heading below to browse what titles we have under each of these subjects.
• This is not meant to be an inclusive list of all countries!
• If you would like to conduct your own Subject Heading search, type in the name of the country, then beside the catalog search box, pull down "Subject Headings Browse."
